My name is Monica Amarillis Rossi and I am… I am certainly many things, that’s why I have always found difficult to define myself within the limits of a category, a role or a single profession. Not for nothing I am a Sagittarius with a Pisces Ascendant!
In the end I found a definition, “Astro and Energy Coach”, and I’ll tell you how I got there.
In the early 1990s I started working in the publishing field (and I still do, but to a lesser extent) as a translator, editor and journalist. Since 1999 I have been a member of the professional journalists of Lombardy. I’ve always had many different interests; they didn’t necessarily go in the same direction, but I tried to cultivate them over time as hobbies until they became parallel works.
The first and oldest love is that for Astrology, which I started studying as a self-taught at the age of thirteen; an author and scholar struck me almost immediately: Lisa Morpurgo. In 2000 I started to “get serious”, further deepening my studies and between 2007 and 2010 I was elected president of the association that preserves and spreads the Morpurgo method, La Nave dei Feaci, whose Board of Directors I’m still part of, today. In 2005 I started to provide astrological consultancy services.
In 1988 I started practicing martial arts (which I later wrote about in the specialized newspapers in the 1990s and early 2000s). Over time I have moved on to less competitive practices and thanks to studies about Energy Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, I deepened my knowlegde of Qigong, which I now teach both to groups and to individuals.
In parallel, also due to health problems that emerged in the mid-1990s, I approached alternative therapies, finding much comfort in Bach Flowers, stones and crystals. This stimulated my search of new knowledge (after all I am a Sagittarius!), and I started attending courses, reading more and more books, and meeting very interesting people and teachers in the holistic field.
Since 2011 this push became increasingly intense, resulting in a new training course in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I was certified in EFT in 2015 by the International Metaphysical University.
As an astrologer I have always tried to help people understanding what was happening to them, interpreting the events in the light of planetary transits and giving them indications about the future.
Astrology is a formidable analytical tool and can help develop understanding of the psychological mechanisms of which we are often unaware architects, but it lacks the corrective part. It can provide the certainty that at a given moment – identifiable with good precision – a particular situation will melt like snow in the sun, but it does not provide tools to make it more bearable for the time being. For this reason I turned to Energy Medicine and EFT, but also to other methods and traditions, such as Shamanism, Dowsing and Radionics.
Now I help people overcoming their difficulties, understanding why certain events happen and discovering their potential by removing the energy blockages that prevent self-realization. I encourage them to heal themselves and I help them restore their energy balance.
The methods I use, in addition to Astrology and EFT (a method that combines the knowledge of the energy meridians of Traditional Chinese Medicine with verbal techniques and Western psychosomatics) are:
– Crystal Healing according to the North American native method transmitted to me by Eileen Nauman and coming from the teachings of Oh Shinnah Fastwolf;
– Breath Therapy as taught by the Japanese monk Zen Muhen; it is a method based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, applied through a particular breathing technique. It’s useful for resolving physical blockages and pains, and for facilitating self-healing;
– Dowsing and Radionics; the first is an investigative tool, the second is a set of healing tools: it has an impact on the energy footprint, exploits the waves of form and everyone’s ability to receive energy information, which will be sent through radionics instruments.
